Meghna Gulzar has written a compelling story based on the true story of Sam Manekshaw, including his well-qualified as well as his personal life. The screenplay by the trio is fascinating however it’s a little slow to get going in the initial half. The post-interval part is more lively and entertaining. On overall, Sam Bahadur is a decent entertainer for classes. It might have had an unsteady start, but will soon get momentum on the appeal to the students in particular. Naturally, since the audience will be small as well, the business it earns at the box-office, as measured in the final count is also likely to be minimal.

Vicky Kaushal’s acting talents shine when he effortlessly swaps between a variety of roles. He previously played an ordinary, awkward person as a character in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. He is now the imposing hero in his most recent film, Sam Bahadur. Vicky is the perfect embodiment of the character, with her light eyes, distinctive posture, and a strong, booming voice that is punctuated by dramatic pauses. However, the script restricts his character’s portrayal by focusing on more exterior traits, and not focusing in revealing the character’s inner complex nature.

Certain people are prone to bio-pics with a fanatical zeal and Sam Bahadurs’ admirers were, and are huge. However, the film has a problem with being too loud and the music enveloping the dramatic events and the imposing characters on the screen. The only one to avoid this and remains tall throughout the movie, can be Vicky Kaushal In and As Mankeshaw. It is Kaushals most difficult role and he does perfectly.

A sprawling and diverse canvas, Sam Bahadur crams a entire life into two and one-half hour. The film spans the span of four years of active military service and five wars, as well as anti-insurgency efforts and even encounters with prime ministers. It’s inevitable that Meghna Gulzar’s highly-detailed biographical documentary feels a little over-the-top. However, it is certain to have no boring moment.

Sam Bahadur tries to convey the turbulent job of an eminent Army officer who epitomized courage and national pride leaving a lasting impression on the history of the Indian Army as a larger-than-life persona. The film is only partially successful in capturing these moments, but it fails to deliver a complete representation of the hero’s remarkable journey. Vicky Kaushal emerges as a good thing for the film, providing an excellent performance that is a significant step to redress its flaws. Vicky Kaushal has delivered a admirable performance, however “Sam Bahadur” isn’t an experience that can be enjoyed in full it only offers pleasure in fragmented sections.

After all, it had all the components to be an epic war-biopic however, we are given black-and-white footage instead of enhancing action scenes. They only hint about the possibility of budget-related issues when shooting the same.

Sam Bahadur is a brave attempt however it haphazardly wanders around for the majority of its time in an endeavor to give us an glimpse into the daily life of one of India’s most admired and admired army officers. If the brave Manekshaw had watched the film, he’d have said: It’s fine you sweetie! Better luck next time.EUR

Although Sam Bahadur is not the excellent performance of Meghna Gulzar. Vicky Kaushal’s flawless performance makes it worth watching.
